We are to Orvieto a lodging in Umbria, the umbria the green heart of Italy

Our lodging is to a km from the cliff of Orvieto from the side of the medieval district and exactly to Sferracavallo. To the time in which not there èrano auto but only carriages and horses, there èra only an inn or lodging or hotel.... that it called note "hotel the ninth" because èra the 9a and last stop before facing the steep slope that brought inside the city of Orvieto. Here carriages or solitary riders stopped him to refresh , to rest and to pass therefore the night, but above all to change the irons to the clogs of the horses, (in Italian this operation of it says "sferrare" )..... for then to face the following morning the steep slope that brought to Orvieto, from that solitary inn today.... Sferracavallo.
